United Way of Halifax Women United Fundraiser
On Saturday, June 16th, Codapop Recording Studios is proud to present a night of great entertainment to raise funds for the United Way of Halifax Women United Campaign.
From 5:30-7:30pm the fun starts off with a sommelier guided wine tasting. For $25, you can try 6 of summer’s greatest wines from Innovative Beverages and Bishop’s Cellar. There will be plenty of wine, hors d’oeuvres and great conversation taking place during that time.
At 8pm, a house concert organized by Tammy and her daughter Abby, as part of their fundraising initiatives, gets underway. The night will start off with local musicians Andrew Machum and Samantha Gracie and a short talk by the founding members of Dartmouth’s Take Action Society. After a short break, Nova Scotia singer/songwriters Dylan Guthro, Mo Kenney, and Carleton Stone will be taking the stage to share their songs, stories and music with the crowd. As usual, this is a BYOB event – we will be providing plenty of non-alcoholic beverages and appetizers. The cost for this event is $25 with all proceeds going to the United Way of Halifax’s Women United Campaign.
Over the past few weeks, Tammy and Abby have taken on several initiatives to raise $10,000 for the Women United campaign. So far they have raised just about $3,000. The women involved in this campaign are striving to collectively raise $100,000 for the United Way to support women, children, youth, new immigrants, and other community members who are facing obstacles.
A special thanks going out to the artists, Bishop's Cellar, and Innovative Beverages who made this event possible, we greatly appreciate your time and efforts!
We hope to see all of you out on the 16th!
